shhhh (posting from work)

it's a down time, so i thought i'd share my boredom.

i'm fucking exhausted! i've worked 15 of the past 26 hours, and will be here until midnight. i slept about 4 hours (maybe) last night because i was hanging out with a friend who i decided needed me more than rum.

i love that girl, but damn... rum? straight? yeah, no thanks.

post-birthday days have been good. sweet Jimmy boy has been around and i love it! hugs abound, and he checks up on me if i'm having a rough day, even if he's busy himself.

there's so much food left over from my birthday! it's nice, but i'm afraid it's going to go bad before it can be eaten. there's a couple of ziploc bags of pizza (some bitch ate all the cheese... there will be death), a bowl of guacamole, two bags of chips, fruit aplenty, probably twenty bagels... how am i supposed to eat it all?! it's impossible.

this is a new phenomenon: TOO MUCH food. i'm not sure i like it any more than i like not having enough food. at least then i don't feel guilty about food spoiling.

party, anyone? i've got the food!

and i'd be willing to part with the couple of boxes of microwaveable caramel/kettle corn my mother gave me. realllllly not a fan. anyone? anyone? please!!

what else... hmm... ha. i talked to Kyle on the 9th, and he said he'd get in contact with me on my birthday to wish me a good one, but he didn't. kind of hurt, but i'm not too worried about it. tons of people who actually give a shit about me wished me a happy day (like Madge! i'm still reeling from the cake :-p), and frankly? it's just not worth my time caring one way or another about him.

yay! my supervisor's wife just arrived with their puppy in tow. adios! PUPPY!!!!

Birthday Highlights

-Kelli made me a cheesecake! it was so sweet of her.... and entertaining to watch her cook.

-the new guy (who Kelli and I have taken to calling "Jim") came by Kelli's place to say happy birthday to me... hug, kiss, and all. it was nice :)

-I got an iPod Nano from my parents!! i was so excited... still am. and they gave me a little stereo system that it can plug right into, and is actually pretty loud!

-Took an excellent nap.

-Shredded newspaper for Kelli's cat's litter box. not a highlight per se, but how i rolled into the day.

-My sister gave me a pound and a quarter of candy. it looks delicious.

-money! money is always good.

-and lovely darling Madge has sent me something in the mail... the joys live on! frankly, even if she had sent me a bowtie i'd be excited, because getting things in the mail? yeah, it's fucking awesome.

-AND she posted a happy birthday cake for me! ah, it makes me smile a lot.

-"Jim" might be coming by again later tonight for another hug. i do like this one a bit. he makes me feel special (no, not special ed). and beautiful. and worth something. it's kind of odd.

-hmm.... cake! ice cream! licorice! guacamole and chips! pizza! oh man, cheese pizza.... it's so delicious.... and in large quantities, it only seems to get better.

yup, life is looking good today. and tomorrow should be fairly decent as well. hope things are good with everyone else!
